My Irish and Swedish origins probably explain my incredible and sudden passion for the art of candles. Ireland and Sweden are infact the cradle of ancient traditions in which candles had a fundamental role and the legends of the "Little People" of which fairies, gnomes, elves and goblins are part, are still very much felt by the Irish, fascinating and steeped in mystery, they derive directly from Celtic beliefs and traditions.

After years of passion for fashion and fashion design and after my studies at the Academy of Fashion and Costume in Rome, I started traveling and in every place I visited I found inspiration and nourishment for my soul and my eyes. Back in Italy, after a couple of years in London and a few months in Bologna, my enthusiasm and creativity turned to art and landscape photography, the silence and magic of the places I photograph are a continuous inspiration. .

This is what I try to convey: feelings and emotions that I hope can go beyond the coldness of an image. The photographs are only apparently silent. In the second creative phase, the images are reworked just like a painter would do on his canvas. This is where my soul and inspiration emphasize what is captured by the lens, trying to convey my own feelings.
Geometry, symmetry, minimalism, simplicity, linearity and color dominate all my images.

Now it is with the same passion and care that I create my Fairies candles. Magical like the fairies that inspire me. In the wax I discovered the pleasure of manual skills, of the senses amplified by the texture, by the scents, by the material. 

I love watercolor painting, as well as collage and ink. Walking in the woods with Lulu, an adorable adopted dog who has become my companion in adventures, inspires me and provides the tools for my work such as leaves, branches, stones, colors that change according to the seasons.
