Nature, Art & Inspiration
Nature can really show off
but it is the photographer's eye that captures the uniqueness
of the moment makes it eternal
to continue dreaming without borders.
Stones and Storm, Nepi, 2021
"There are parts of me that exist only when the wind blows from the west and the sea is stormy and the clouds rush through a sky full of wonder and strange colors." Fabrizio Caramagna "There are parts of me that exist only when the wind blows from the west and the sea is stormy and the clouds rush through a sky full of wonder and strange colors." Heavenly Reflections
A splendid view of Lake Bracciano, a few kilometers from Rome, on a clear day when the lake had become a totally motionless mirror. The sensation is that of floating in a limbo where water and sky become one. The Gate of Jupiter
The Gate of Jupiter, Falerii Novi. The ruins, for the most part immersed in vegetation, give the visitor the sensation of entering a time machine where buildings of Etruscan-Faliscan, Roman and medieval origin overlap in an unusual and fascinating cultural and architectural mosaic. The Sacred Mountain
The lonely Monte Soratte, as Goethe called it, which dominates the roofs of the town of Napi, was certainly a place inhabited by man already in the Bronze Age, as documented by various finds of ceramics and artifacts. Recognizable and visible from afar, in pre-Roman times, it was a place of worship for the Etruscans, the Falisci, the Capenti and the Sabines. A tradition carried on first by the Romans and then by the Christians, becoming a destination for hermits in search of meditation, peace and silence. Black and White Geometries
A simple wooden walkway, in Fregene, the closest beach to Rome, becomes art by looking at it from another point of view. "Black and white are the colors of photography. For me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which humanity is always subject". Robert Frank Geometries in black and white. Infinity. Black and white does not seek to compete with the outside world. (M. Kenna) A simple wooden walkway, in Fregene, the beach near Rome, becomes art by looking at it from another point of view. Stones
Abbey of Santa Maria in Falerii. Falerii, is the name of an ancient Faliscan city in southern Etruria and the main center of the Faliscan-Capenate enclave; following its destruction by the Romans called Falerii Veteres, it was rebuilt by the Romans themselves, in another site, and for this reason called Falerii Novi. Corresponds to the current Civita Castellana. Falerii Novi is a Roman city, located on the current municipal territory of Fabrica di Roma about halfway between Fabrica di Roma and Civita Castellana. The archaeological site of the Etruscan-Faliscan city now depends on the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage for southern Etruria. It is on a road that could perhaps be the via Annia, a detour from the via Cassia; this road approaches from the south coming from Nepet (today Nepi), while its continuation towards the north certainly takes the name of via Amerina, the road that led to Amelia.
